After getting dressed in a light and simple, yet charming [f/c] gown, I lazily made my way to the dining room for breakfast.
I ate quickly in the large, grand dining room which was surprisingly empty. That’s odd.
Usually my father was awake by now.
‘He’s probably hard at work ruining my life with that blasted arranged marriage’ I thought bitterly, as I wandered the halls.
“[Name]! There you are!” The familiar low rumble of my father’s voice caused me to whirl around in surprise.
“O-oh! Father. I was just looking for you. There’s something we need to discuss urgentl-“
“[Name], not now! There’s someone very important that you must be introduced to!” Grabbing my wrist, he started to lead me off to his private study that overlooked the vast garden.
Gritting my teeth, I wrenched my hand from his grasp.
He stared at me in surprise. “[Name]-“
“NO! Why don’t you ever listen to me?! You can’t control my life! I’ll marry whomever I please!” I yelled before dashing out the doors and quickly disappearing amongst the roses and other plants.
Vision clouded by tears, I raced blindly down the path before colliding with something.
“Kyaaa!!” I yelped, falling backwards onto my bum with a thud.
“I-I beg your pardon- Oh dear! I’m terribly sorry, love. Here, allow me to assist you.”
My [e/c] eyes shot open in surprise and I stared up at the man who was offering me his hand.
A few tears slid down my cheeks as I gaped at the stranger wordlessly.
It was my mysterious gentleman from the ball!
Realizing that I still had yet to respond, my face flushed a light shade of red and I took his hand, returning to my feet with the help of the blonde.
“T-thank you very much. And really, I should be the one apologizing. I should’ve been watching where I was going.” I said, gazing up at him shyly.
He chuckled and shook his head. “Please don’t worry about it, your highness.”
‘So he recognizes me?’ I thought curiously, blushing even more than before and taking sudden interest in my skirt.
“…I-I ‘m sorry…but I don’t think I should see you anymore…”
His expression changed in an instant, heartbreak visible in his lovely green eyes.
“W-What? Why is that?”
“Because…” I choked out, barely above a whisper. “Don’t you remember? I’m engaged…”
“Oh…” His voice was soft but when I glanced at his face again, I saw that he had and amused expression, causing my lips to draw down in a frown.
“I don’t see what’s so amusing about this! How is it possible to smile so nonchalantly when I ‘m hopelessly in love with a man I can never be with?!”
My voice cracked a bit and I wiped at my eyes.
The blonde’s expression seemed to soften a bit as he took a step towards me, caressing my cheek while his other hand held my own delicately.
“Dear Princess, please forgive my in-sensitiveness.”
There was certain tenderness to his words that only made my heart ache more.
“However, this gent you are to marry, his name is Arthur Kirkland, correct?”
“Yes, that’s right.” I sniffled and he brushed a few stray strands of [h/c] hair away from my face.
“Well, you see, that’s really quite ironic because-“
“[Name]! Arthur! What a relief! I thought I had lost you!” My father suddenly appeared, rushing down the cobblestone aisle.
“…Arthur?” I looked between the two men in wide-eyed wonder. “Y-you don’t mean to say that-”
“Yes, of course! This is Arthur Kirkland.” The older of the two chuckled, patting my mystery man on the back somewhat roughly, causing the brit to stumble forward slightly and blush in embarrassment.
“Y-y-you’re-!!!”
Arthur smiled at me lovingly. “Yes poppet. I am you’re fiancé.”
My jaw had dropped and I startled when my father nudged me in the ribs in a joking manner.
“Still want me to call off the wedding~?”
I shook my head numbly, continuing my attempt to fully register the situation.
“Heh, well, I suppose I’ll give you two a bit of alone time so that you may get to know each other better.”
I could still hear my father chuckling and undoubtedly congratulating himself on a job well done.
“Love?”
Turning my focus back on Arthur, I tackled him in a hug, burying my face in his chest as I sobbed quietly.
“W-why didn’t you say anything…y-you just let me believe that we’d never be together…” I whimpered and he smiled calmly, though his face was rather red.
“I’m sorry, [Name]. I had every intention to, but I never got the chance. But, at least we’re together now!” He looked down at me tentatively. “D-do you forgive me?”
I couldn’t help but smile, giggling quietly. “Of course I do! How could I not?...I really love you Arthur.”
“I love you too.”
Catching my chin, he tilted my head and leaned his face closer until I could feel his warm lips softly pressed against my own.
Smiling widely, I wrapped my arms around his neck and returned the kiss with all of my love, happy that things had worked out.
Even better than in my dreams, in fact.

Saving Royalty: England X Reader 4
You spent the majority of your time in the library now a days. But your wound was slowly healing, meaning you would start training by Monday, according to the doctor. You barely saw the queen unless it was for breakfast, which most of the time you skipped because the nobles were exchanging important business information and didn't want a commoner 'snooping around'. Arthur would occasionally greet you and the two of you would engage in a bit of small talk, but he always acted rather awkward and rude. Nevertheless, you could tell his fury towards you was dying out slowly….very, very slowly. Oh, and then there was Frederick. Sure, he

Prince! England x Maid! Reader 'I don't want only someone' Chapter 1
A small town near London. Some tiny wooden cottages were standing side by side. There is also a little marketplace where traveling merchants sell their products. Between stands and in dark alleys are rats, searching for leftovers and rotten food. It’s a wonder that this town isn’t yet affected by the pest. Other towns in the Kingdom Great Brittan were affected for a long time ago. Some people claim even in other kingdoms the deadly disease is erupted.
